Application fee for foreign applicants

Regarding the registration fee payment for international applicants currently outside Brazil:

According to the selection guidelines, the registration fee of R$ 230,70 must typically be paid via a Guia de Recolhimento da União (GRU), which is generated through the Brazilian government system.

However, since you are currently abroad and the GRU system is designed for the Brazilian banking network, you should submit a declaration in your application. In this document, you must formally commit to paying the GRU fee immediately upon your arrival in Brazil, should your application be approved.

Important Reminders

  • Submission: Upload this signed declaration (in PDF format) to the online application portal in the section designated for the payment receipt.

  • Identification: Ensure all data (name and passport number) matches your other submitted documents.

You may use the following model to complete this phase of your application:

Declaration of Commitment to Payment

To the Coordination of the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC/UFMG),

I, [Your Full Name], a candidate for the [Master/PhD]’s program selection ([1]st Semester [year]), currently residing in [country], hereby declare my commitment to the payment of the registration fee (R$ 230,70) required for this selection process.

Due to being outside Brazil and the technical limitations of the GRU (Guia de Recolhimento da União) payment system for international transactions, I formally pledge to generate and pay the required GRU immediately upon my arrival in Brazil, if my application is approved and classified.

I understand that my final registration and enrollment are conditional upon the verification of this payment.
